Return Backslider

Before it is too late....

I could write so much on this. I have backslid more than once. (not proudly) But God knew and seen who I was going to be one day. Thank God He knows the beginning from the end. Thank God for His mercy and His grace. People don't want to grasp the fact that yes God is a God of love, mercy and grace, however, He is also a God of anger and wrath and justice. I watched someone dear to me get full of the Holy Ghost but they couldn't stay away from the world and they walked out on God. Their life was taken a few months later. That taught me a valuable lesson even in my walk now.. We are not promised tomorrow. We don't know when our time is going to come to an end. The ways of a backslider are hard.. It wasn't meant to be easy because God wants us to turn around and come back to Him! He's always waiting with open arms.

Something I pray fervently for my children is no matter what path they take in life, always let their path lead back to Him. God knows what it's gonna take for each person, or if that person will not get back.

Child of God, obey your pastor. He is who God put over you to lead you, guide you and help you walk the right way in the will of God. He knows best for your soul. The devil is a harsh task master and he will steal, kill, and destroy everything dear to you, if you don't obey your pastor and what comes over the pulpit. Sin is only for a season, then destruction! You also have to trust Him in everything. Every trial, every battle, He will not forsake His people!! No matter how bad it looks!! So get excited about what is coming and praise and worship your way through the battle!! The victory is already won!!

Backslider, you know too much to be lost. You have not went to far, you may feel so much shame and regret but God takes that shame and turns it for His glory. Believe me I had alot of shame and one day I may share them testimonies too. You are not promised tommorow. Come back to Jesus before its too late.

Another thing you don't ever do is lie on and hurt God's chosen people or that will bring God's wrath on you. And that isn't a place you want to be. So if someone has wronged you, forgive and pray for them. It's their heart issue not yours! Nothing and nobody is worth going to hell over. Don't make yourself their enemy because then you are making God your enemy and whereas His mercy doesn't runout for His people, it does run out for some. I watched it happen with my own eyes. Don't be that person. Jesus is waiting with open arms. Run back to Him, pray back thru and let all the past be put under the blood. He loves us all and doesn't want anyone to perish, but we all have a time to leave this world, backslider, don't let it be without Jesus! You know too much to be lost.

Living for God is not hard when you truly love Him and trust Him. Getting a Revelation of this truth deep down in your heart and soul, you are blessed to know and be a part of a chosen generation!!! It took me a lil while to get the revelation and to line up my will with God's. God's will can be hard to accept sometimes, but it's all in our favor and for our greater good!! The world only offers sin for a season and death. Choose joy, peace and eternal life one day soon!!!

Jeremiah 3:8-11 KJV

And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. [9] And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. [10] And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the Lord. [11] And the Lord said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.

The concept of old Testament backsliding is often not properly incorporated into the context of New Testament life. However, it is very much a part of the New Covenant theology. Backsliding is pretty much the root cause of much of Jeremiah's message to Judah. New Testament church doctrine likewise addresses this tragedy. Warnings against backsliding are seen in the parables of Jesus, the ministry of the Apostales, Peter, Paul, John, and Jude and particularly in the book of Hebrews. Backsliding is a Hebrew term (Heb meshubah that means apostasy or turning away. It always involves doing things man's way rather than the way God instructed.

[12] Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord ; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger for ever. [13] Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the Lord thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the Lord. [14] Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord ; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

Jeremiah 3:15 KJV

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

God's call "return thou backsliding Isreal" reveals His Longsuffering and magnanimous nature in His extended mercy toward this nation. "I am married into you" (3:14) reveals both the strength of God's covenant relationship to and the depth of His love for His people Judah had not kept the covenant nor returned His love. The answer God provided to stop this hemorrhage of faith was "I will give you pastors." (3:15). The meaning here is a Shepard. Thus solution is also continued in the New Testament God provides a Shepard under Himself and calls this office the undershepard, pastor, or elder. Such leaders are a given gift to the church by God and are an important defense for combating backsliding. For this reason, there is intense spiritual warfare against the ministry of a pastor. He is a primary defense against demonic attempts to lead people to return to their old life of wickedness and idolatry.

Jeremiah 3:20-25 KJV

Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the Lord. [21] A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the Lord their God. [22] Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the Lord our God. [23] Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel. [24] For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. [25] We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.

This message (chapter) closed with God's return to the refrain of the treacherous wife. The jilted husband wept and lamented, "return, ye backsliding children (3:22) The echo of that passionate cry is still in the air today - and calls to every wayward child of God, Return and I will heal your backslidings"

Proverbs 14:14 KJV

The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

Proverbs 14:14 NIV

The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good rewarded for theirs.

Jeremiah 4:1-4 KJV

If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the Lord, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove. [2] And thou shalt swear, The Lord liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. [3] For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. [4] Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

These verses provide the conclusion to 3:20-25. Jeremiah was gesturing toward what would eventually become a most prominent theme of his prophecies. God is looking for people who will live for Him, but not solely out of obligation. Come home backslider nobody will ever love you like Jesus does ❤️

1 John 1:9 KJV

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Forgiveness and cleansing of sin are the result of confession and restore fellowship with Jesus Christ and the body of believers.

Be blessed & & Come home backslider!
