"Living in a place where there can be no change."

The past can destroy us & our future. When it was only meant to bring us to our destiny. Our destiny is a place we choose. Be chained, or changed, it's our choice.
Sis Jenn Maddox.

The past is a place to learn from, not to live in, but we can die in if we are not careful. Physically, mentally & Spiritually, and A place we can not go back to and change no matter how bad we would like to. No matter how many times we replay it in our mind over and over, it will not change a thing. For lots of us, the past has scarred us for life. We live now in the aftermath of destruction & the shadow of our past. We have things that have hurt us, that was out of our control. We have thing us that we have done that was in our control that we so badly want to go back & change. We can't. We won't. The past is a place there can be no change but there can be change made from it. Living for God is a whole mindset of putting things into perspective that lines up with His Word, The Bible. As soon as we receive His Spirit, The Holy Ghost inside of us, we have became new. My friend, you may struggle with so so much because of the past but the weight of the past, is too heavy for
You to continue to carry. Forgive them. Forgive yourself. Sometimes, sometimes we even have to "forgive God". Not because He's done ANYTHING, He's a good God allll the time and as my precious glammbaby "Maci" says "He's a good God allll the seconds! But in our mind we thought, think and entertain(Ed) the thought, He failed us, by letting such and such happen. God will NEVER fail. Men will fail and life will hurt but God will never fail us or hurt us. He wants to save us and He can use the past as a way to show His glory. TO heal us and make us brand new, but we can not be new and carry the old with us. The past is a place that produces many spirits for years to come. Generational curses come from the past. For as long as we let them torment us, and feed them so they can thrive. I will say this, "television, and music, and yes, even our phones and the things we entertain on them, feeds those demons". Spirits of failures from others and of ourselves, pain, bitterness, unforgiveness, depression, suicide, self harm, jealousy, envy, unworthy, low self esteem and so many more. Alot of these spirits, I've personally battled and with Jesus I am conquering a little more every day.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Here the revealing of the extreme transformation that takes place when one receives salvation. This is literally a complete about - face (repentance), a change of families (signified by baptism in the name of the father of the new family, Jesus), and an infilling with the Spirit of this new father, that is, being sealed with the Holy spirit. All of this is exactly what was exemplified on the Day Of Pentecost, when the church was founded (Acts 2:1 - 4, 38, 39)

The past is a place of reference not residence.
I think living in this place myself I have began to learn, almost this whole world, lives in the past. In the past failures,in the past trauma,in the past abuse, in the past pain, in the past offenses, in the past drama, in the past unforgiveness. I could go on but you get the point.

As I think back over my own life's failures, pain, trauma, bitterness, unforgiveness when I didn't know how to truly forgive. I let the pain consume me till I ended up on a path of addiction and drugs, self harm, cutting, suicidal thoughts and actions,
a place of a darkness I thought would completely put out my light. Don't let the darkness from the past block the light of the joy in your present. The past could have took you out, but despite it all God's mercy didn't allow it. We can not truly see the joy of the present and trust in a better future wrapped up in the darkness of the past.

Isaiah 43:18-19 KJV
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. [19] Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God can not do a new thing while we are bogged down with the old things. O, but when He does it, He does it! He has to have your permission, He can ONLY work through our willingness to let go and let GOD!!!

Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

The Apostle refused to dwell in the past.
Paul's Focus was solely on the "prize of the High Calling of God."

When our focus is on the past, it's too easy for us to feel sorry for ourselves. Then we become depressed and more. I heard a preacher say, I can't remember which one, that, "if we are battling depression most of the time there is unforgiveness in our life. I know with me, depression has caused me to begin to look deeper into what is causing it and how to cope. Bro Victor Jackson jus stated In his message" if we are looking in a downward  posture it causes depression".. (This is a study his chiropractor family member is doing on looking down at our phones all the time.) However, he said "if we are looking up to Jesus, (praying, reading our Bible, fasting, being devoted and consecrated to Him," LOOKING UP" ) we can't be depressed.. When depression hits we fall into a state of PITY & looking down and crying and sitting in our own pitiful self! I know and can speak on this because I've currently been going through it off and on. Depression because of the past, depression because of what all I'm going through and been through, and jus depression because "poor pitiful me" will rob us of what is now. How powerful "NOW" is!! The past has happened, but there isn't one thing that can change it or be done about it other than us using it to alter us for Now and for our future. Learn from our mistakes. Learn from others mistakes. We can continue to let the darkness of our past destroy us or we can let it
Grow us. I can promise you this when you begin to pray and God sees your heart to escape the pain of the past, He begins to do a work in you. Joy is a choice. Depression can be a choice but it is a spirit that we can choose to let operate in us or we can simply just look up. Like Bro Victor Jackson said "change our posture".

See the power of the NOW! See the mercy and goodness Of God NOW & FOREVER. He will turn our past guilt into weapons for His glory. We cannot take on a new name wearing the old man of shame and pain, regret and bitterness. Our new name marks a distinct change in our status, which could potentially impact our lineage for generations to come. We must fight the wars now to keep our children from becoming casualties later. We must armor them n teach them truth and how this battle is fought and won! After all this is about generations to come, it's about their souls. How can we fight a war if we are always looking back? We will become "injured" every single time if not taken completely out!!

Generational curses are real but so is the power of the Holy Ghost. It's the only way to make it. It's the only way to have a new name. It's the only way to fight spiritual warfare and the wickedness in high places. It's the only way to endure what is, and what's to come.

Paul instructed Timothy how to help people recover themselves out of the snares of the devil. (the past is a way the devil uses to operate, to keep us in a bondage we may not even see we are in it if we have the Holy Ghost. There is hope!!! But, it starts with us.

"And the servant of the Lord must not strive ; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves ;If God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth ; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil" (2 Tim. 2:24-26)

Note that the key to recovery for an individual was for God to give them the gift of repentance  and that their ensuing repentance was essential to recovery

We must repent and be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. God's beautiful Spirit that produces change. That sets us free from our sin, and our past. It's an absolute lie that we can be saved jus accepting the Lord as our Savior!  Open your Bible and pray for the Lord to lead you to TRUTH! It's the only way to escape your past and to escape hell on earth and hell for eternity, you must have the genuine Holy Ghost.

Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Infilling of the Spirit brings spiritual power for many things. It changes you from the inside out. It sets you free from all the bondages of sin.

We can't look forward and backward at the same time. It's impossible. We have to choose one or the other. The past is full of pain and our own failures and mistakes that we wish would have never happened but it did. We can live in a place of change or chains!!! That is why it is our choice to sit there and allow the chains of our past and darkness, to hold us, when Jesus is the chain breaker!

Psalm 107:9-10 KJV
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. [10] Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

Psalm 107:13-16 KJV
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. [14] He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. [15] Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! [16] For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

Psalm 107:19-20 KJV
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. [20] He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Jesus is the Word Of God by which healing comes.

Psalm 68:6 KJV
God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

God and God alone can and will do more for us than man, medicine or anything else on this earth can do. His Power is mind blowing! He heals the broken hearted. He pours His healing oil in every crack n crevice of our broken pieces. I can speak on this. I know God's healing. I was a broken junkie from all the pain life had inflicted upon me and He set me free. He delivered me. Every step I took even out in the world was a step towards Him. Even though I didn't know it. That is what was happening. I pray for my children all the time that God's let's the tears and prayers I cry saturate Heaven and earth and pave my babies ways either closer to God or back to God. Depending on where they are at in this life, even when I am not walking this earth with them.

I didn't do it right for so long. But God. The past is behind us for a reason. God doesn't want us to dwell and live there. He can't do a new thing when we refuse to let go of the old pain, hurts, and more, whatever that maybe. Let God break the chains, let Him set you free, let Him heal the pain. Pray, repent, be baptized in Jesus Name, be filled  with this beautiful powerful, life changing Holy Ghost! In Jesus Name!! It is what it takes to be saved and to be changed not chained!

Acts 2:38-40 KJV
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. [39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. [40] And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Acts 2:2-4 KJV
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. [3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Romans 15:13 KJV
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Psalm 147:3 KJV
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Past you have no hold on me,
Sis Jenn Maddox
